Geoffrey Bawa

Geoffrey Bawa revealed another way of inhabiting the world, where architecture becomes inseparable from climate, landscape, memory, and everyday life.

Growing up in Sri Lanka, his spaces became part of our own visual and emotional language. The filtered light, the silence of courtyards, the continuity between interior and exterior, the dialogue with nature  these atmospheres deeply shaped our understanding of space long before architecture became our profession.

His work continues to inspire our practice today: an architecture guided by sensitivity to place, by the movement of air and light, and by the subtle relationship between buildings and their surroundings.

This photographic reportage is a personal reflection on how we see and remember his work not only as architecture, but as a way of feeling and experiencing space.
